FUNDRAISING PERFORMANCES
7:00 PM, May 2 & 3, (Monday & Tuesday)
Missouri United Methodist Church, Multi-Purpose Hall
204 South Ninth Street (across from Shakespeare's Pizza)
Columbia, Missouri
Bunraku
Bay will offer two full performanes to raise funds for earthquake
relief efforts in Japan on May 2 & 3, 2011. The performances are
free, but we ask those attending to consider a donation to help provide
assistance to those stricken by the earthquake and tsunami in March.
After
having performed in 32 states all across the US, as well as in Canada
and Japan, Bunraku Bay will actually be offering our first full-length
performances of traditional Japanese puppet theater in Columbia at this
event. The program will include the following pieces:
The whole show is family friendly. For more information on the above pieces, click the "Repertoire" page tab above.
The
theater in the Multi-Purpose Hall at the Missouri United Methodist
Church will provide seating for more than 400 spectators each night. We
hope see have all the seats filled for a celebration of Japanese
culture and an opportunity to provide assistance to those afflicted by
the recent disaster.
